Description
Location: Cape Coral Hospital - 636 Del Prado Blvd Cape Coral FL 33990Department: Cardiac Rehab
Work Type: Part Time
Shift: Shift 1/7:45:00 AM to 4:15:00 PM
Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$30.27 - $40.86 / hour
Summary
Responsible for the delivery and documentation of care delivered to Cardiac Rehab Phase I inpatients and Cardiac Rehab Phase II and Phase III outpatients, as appropriate to services provided at specific location, through assessment, diagnoses, planning, implementation and evaluation. Performs responsibilities in five areas of Cardiac Rehab practice: clinician, teacher, researcher, leadership and professional development. Responsible for directing and coordinating care for Cardiac Rehab patients based on established Cardiac Rehab practice standards subscribed to by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Demonstrates proficiency in Cardiac Rehab core competencies. Possesses knowledge of Cardiac Rehab guidelines, standards and reimbursement. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organizations vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity in the provision of care. Contributes to the provision of quality care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Contributes to the provision of community outreach through participation in system, division, and department programs and events.
Requirements
Education: Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing required; BS or BA degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Experience: 3 years nursing experience in medical or surgical cardiology field required; 1 year experience in Cardiac Rehab preferred.
Certification: BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must have completed certification by 90 Day Performance Review). Cardiac Vascular Nurse certification preferred. CCRN certification accepted.
License: Currently licensed or eligible for Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Florida.
Other: Must be a team player and have good critical thinking, organization, communication, teaching, interpersonal, customer service, analytical and computer skills.
