Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval - award amount(up to $200 -000)&eligibility period(one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
Duties
- The Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) - Nuclear Medicine practices as a licensed independent practitioner providing advanced - evidence-based specialty care to Veterans across the continuum of care
- Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic conditions - with a strong emphasis on diagnostic evaluation - disease management - care coordination - and patient education
- Requires advanced clinical judgment - prescriptive authority - and leadership within a multidisciplinary care environment - including close collaboration with oncology - radiology - pharmacy - nursing - and ancillary services
- Actively contributes to quality improvement - population health outcomes - and aligns care delivery with VA missions and ICARE core values
